WEEKENDS ARRESTS AND GOOD WORK
SAPS Diepriver can confirm the following good work that occurred in the early hours of Saturday morning at 01:00 when the community and neighbourhood watch members noticed a suspicious vehicle with 3 occupants in the vehicle in the Diepriver area.
The call came in on the community radio and was responded to by BH Security and Law Enforcement officers. When the suspicious vehicle noticed they were being followed the suspects drove off at high speed in an attempt to flee but lost control of the vehicle and collided with a pavement on the corner of Hanover and Myburgh roads.

The 9mm pistol had 7 rounds in the magazine. All 3 suspects were arrested on the scene and detained at SAPS DIEPRIVER.
The firearm had all serial numbers filed off and has been sent to forensics for ballistic analysis.
During Friday evening from 20:30 SAPS Diepriver and METRO Police held a roadblock in the area and 137 drivers were tested for drunk driving.7 were arrested for driving over the legal limit and 29 fines were written.
4 more arrests for possession of drugs, 1 for house breaking and 1 for possession of a dangerous weapon were made by SAPS Diepriver members. End.

Footnote from CVWA Ops:
Over the past few days since Wednesday to date, just on R100,000 worth of fines have been issued for mainly traffic related offences – unlicenced motor vehicles or drivers not carrying their licence. A special thank you to the volunteer NW patrollers who have been active and assisted in our joint fight against crime.
