COMBAT FORCE OFFICERS GO THE EXTRA KM IN PLUMSTEAD AND MAKE ARREST
09/06/2020 – Street Robbery- Occurred 13h05 outside the Pick n Pay Gabriel Road Plumstead. The male suspect approached a female victim, and tried to grab her bag. She fought back so that he could not take it. Instead he then ripped her gold neck chain and ran off, with various security guards in hot pursuit. He was not caught.
Combat Force Officers informed CVIC (Constantia Valley Information Centre) controllers that they have reviewed available footage and recognise the suspect from the area.
At 05h30 the next morning 2 Combat Force officers went to where they had seen the suspect previously sleeping on the streets. There they found him, woke him up, found the stolen neck chain so promptly detained him.
SAPS was then notified who subsequently arrested the suspect for being in Possession of Presumed Stolen Goods. This case will later be linked to the Street Robbery case when the victim opens the case and has identified the chain.
Well done to the guys from Combat.

CONSTANTIA WATCH SRT AND BH SECURITY DETAIN SUSPECT AFTER GREENBELT MUGGING
A few weeks ago a suspect accosted a resident walking in the Paggasvlei green belt and ripped a gold neck chain off the victim’s neck.
The victim opened a case, and as he was sure he could identify the suspect again, was given a Point out Notice by SAPS. Effectively this means that if he saw the suspect in future, he could ask for assistance and have the suspect detained on his case.
Well recently this is exactly what happened. The victim spotted the suspect near the Alphen Centre hanging around with some others. He took a photo and provided it to SRT members to see if they knew him. Indeed they did. So the next time he was seen, CW SRT members detained him. BH Security assisted with guiding the victim through the process of confirming the suspect was the correct one. SAPS was then requested to attend to the location. When they did the victim handed the SAPS members the Point out Notice and identified the suspect, who was then arrested by SAPS on his Street Robbery case.
Well done Constantia Watch SRT members and thankyou BH Security for your assistance as always.
