Immediate Media Release Date: 2016-03-29 Crime wrap for the weekend
On the weekend 48 cases were reported of which 10 cases were for theft and 5 drug related cases.
SAPS Diepriver had extra forces working over the Easter weekend, together with Law Enforcement, security providers (Zone Security; Chubb; ADT; Combat and BH Security Services) as well as the neighbourhood watches.
In all 19 arrests were made for various crimes namely:
6 x drugs;
3 x assaults;
2 x house breaking;
3 x possession of stolen property;
3 x wanted persons;
2 for possession of dangerous weapons.
52 fines were issued for various traffic violations.
SAPS Diepriver thanks the residents for coming out and patrolling our streets acting as extra eyes and ears in our precinct.
