SAPS Diepriver Media Release – crime wrap; thanks and project

SAPS Diep River can confirm for the week of 13 December 2016 – 19 December 2016 festive season operations have been continuously implemented. Two road blocks had been held. Numerous arrests have occurred during this week, ranging from arrests for assault, malicious damage to property, possession of drugs, burglary of business premises, drunk and driving, fraud and theft.

Theft out of Motor vehicle as well as theft of motor vehicle is a huge concern. Members of the public to remain vigilant, especially at shopping malls,  as well as when parking on off street parking. Diep River police members are constantly deployed to patrol, in order to minimize, such occurrences.

Western Cape:  This office would like to confirm that on  Monday,2016/12/19  at 12:15, Diep River police collaborated with Grassy Park police, to distribute gifts as well as lucky packets to the children of the Skeemsaam community,  in Parkwood, Grassy Park. In order to uplift their spirits over the festive season, and to show that the police members care. The project was a great success and the children were extremely thankful.
