It can be said that the public generally accept that, fighting crime is the sole concern of the South African Police Service.  When crime in the varying formats that it does, impinges directly on, or affects one personally, all hell breaks out, as we criticise and deride the police.  Your CPF often stop to think about how and what are the public doing toward combatting/preventing crime in our immediate area and neighbourhood.  The answer unfortunately is considered to be “NO”.  Coupled with this is also the fact that, the public have very short memories.  While suggestions and effort is made to overcome and/or solve the immediate problem, and any police support gained is soon forgotten, until the next “crime situation” encountered.

Your Diep River COMMUNITY Police Forum appreciate and endeavour to support the intention and objectives of the CPF. We act as being the conduit for contact, encouragement and assistance between the public and SAPS. There are numerous ways by which one can be of assistance, and we invite you to attend our next
