Immediate Media Release Date: 2016-01-12 CRIME WRAP FOR 11 DAYS OF 2016
For the 11 days of January 2016 SAPS Diepriver has been extremely busy with more than 30 arrests for various crimes : 6 x drugs; 2 x robbery ;7 x theft ;5 x h/breaking ; 2 x hijacking ; drunk drivings and assault .
SAPS Diepriver also experienced 3 cases where the complainants laid false complaints and through investigation the detectives had uncovered these cases and have taken the cases to the courts for possible perjury cases. These false complaints include: alleged kidnapping, robbery and theft cases. Besides wasting the polices times and resources complainants must realise that it is a crime to report false complaints.
