BUSINESS ROBBERY PLUMSTEAD

SAPS Diepriver can confirm that there was an armed business robbery at KFC Gabriel road Plumstead on Tuesday evening at 20:15.

2 black males entered the shop posing as customers when the store was empty the one suspect jumped over the counter and put a knife at the teller’s throat. The second suspect drew a firearm and held the rest of the staff up while the 1st suspect took money out of the till. Both suspects then fled the store climbed into a white VW Polo and fled.

SAPS Diepriver was on the scene. No shots were fired. Nobody was injured in the incident. Forensics and detectives were summoned to the scene and are busy with the investigation.

Footnote – CVWA Ops comment – we are pleased to advise readers that within 24 hours of the incident, due to hard work and follow up by SAPS Diepriver Detectives, assistance from CVIC and community cameras, the suspect vehicle was identified. This assisted to lead detectives to finding the vehicle and 4 persons were arrested for the alleged robbery today. They are currently in custody and will appear in Wynberg Court once formally charged. CVWA on behalf of our community salute the responsible members at SAPS Diepriver.
