ARMED ROBBERY

During the early hours of Tuesday morning at 01:45 two residents were on their way home when they stopped their car in Cannon road under the bridge at the stop street behind a Mercedes Benz .

The Mercedes went over the stop street and stopped dead. 3 coloured males jumped out and ran to the residents in the car and pointed a firearm at the drivers head. The suspects threatened to shoot the driver and the passenger if they did not cooperate. The suspects spoke broken Afrikaans and used a lot of “gangster slang”. The suspects searched the complainants and stole cash , cell phones, tablet and the radio face .

No shots were fired and the complainants were not injured. A case of armed robbery and was opened and investigated at SAPS Diepriver. Anyone with information can contact Detective Warrant Officer Steven Lewis at 0217107342

HOUSE ROBBERIES

On Friday 27th  in the early evening a couple were confronted in their Plumstead home by two knife welding foreign black males. The suspects apparently jumped over the back wall and entered the house through the kitchen door. The couple were forced into the bedroom where they were tied up and threatened if they made a sound. Their home was then ransacked by the suspects stealing cash ,laptops, cell phones and other items. The suspects then fled the same way that they entered.

SAPS  Diepriver and forensics were on the scene , neighbourhood watches combed the area searching for the suspects in the Buckingham road area but to no avail. A case of house robbery was opened at SAPS Diepriver. Anyone with information can contact Detective warrant officer Steven Young at 0217107342

In the early hours of Saturday 28th morning a Constantia resident let her dogs out the back door  at 06:30 as she walked inside to make tea three unknown black males entered her house. One of the black males took out pepper spray and sprayed the resident in the face. Her husband came to her aid but was forced by the suspects who then proceeded to ransack the house taking with them a number of items including laptops ,cell phones and  cash. The suspects also took the residents keys and a white VW Polo Vivo and silver Mercedes Benz

SAPS  Diepriver and forensics were on the scene , neighbourhood watches combed the area searching for the suspects in the Hillcrest road area and surrounding roads but to no avail.

A case of house robbery and theft of motor vehicle was opened and investigated at SAPS Diepriver. Anyone with information can contact Detective warrant officer Steven Young at 0217107342
