FoCVGB in association with Parkscape, The Zandvlei Catchment Forum, CRoCs (Concerned Residents of Constantia), TreeKeepers and CRRA, would like to invite interested parties to a public open meeting; to discuss the current densification issues that are threatening the Green Heritage of the Constantia Valley.
This threat has been highlighted over the past two weeks by the illegal felling of trees on Klaasenbosch Greenbelt. The aim of the meeting is to inform the residents of the Constantia Valley and other interested parties on what the Act Bylaws and planning frameworks states about the green heritage of the Valley and the heritage status of the Greenbelts.
In the context of the rampant densification that is currently taking place in the Valley, there will also be a presentation on where the current Spatial Development Framework (SDF) and Local Area Overlay Zone (LAO/3) of Constantia is being disregarded to allow for cluster housing and sectional title developments.
Community feedback will be encouraged so that we can get an indication of residents’ reaction to the above issues.
Date: Tuesday 21st May 2024
Time: 18:00 – 20:00
Place: Constantia Bowling Club, Constantia Main Rd, Constantia, 7806
Kind regards,
