A combined operation was held on Thursday with Ct Law Enforcement, including LE Specials, the Wynberg CID truck and trailer, SAPS Diepriver members, Constantia Watch SRT, and security personnel with their bakkies. Several volunteer patrollers (Plumstead and BKM) with bakkies also assisted and we thank them all for filling their vehicles with trash and taking to Wynberg dump.
This team above went to various bushy sections along the M3, near the Constantia on/off ramps, as well as other locations. They searched for stolen goods, cleaned and removed all temporary living shelters and general rubbish/litter. Whilst rummaging in the bushes they came across 3 suspects, 2 of whom were believed to have been involved in the recent burglary of a Constantia restaurant. They were promptly detained by SAPS. Various linkages were checked, and after further information received, they were arrested for (1) the Burglary at the restaurant and (2) the theft of copper piping from a home during this morning early hours.
